The public magazine is available to readers without a member account. Community membership is for Michigan residents age 50 and over. Give accurate eligibility information, use your own account and keep your sign-in details secure. Profiles require human approval before participating in member spaces; approval is not a background check.

Contact us if you believe an account or approval decision is mistaken. Do not impersonate someone, create deceptive accounts or evade a suspension or another person’s block.

No scams, solicitation designed to defraud, impersonation, harassment, threats, hate, sexual exploitation or unlawful content. Respect consent, boundaries and privacy. Do not post another person’s private information or send unwanted repeated contact. Use block/report tools and follow reasonable moderation directions.

We may review reports, restrict access or remove content to protect members and operate the community. Verification is optional and human-reviewed; a badge means only the specific checks recorded. We cannot guarantee a match, friendship, genuine intent, safe meeting or complete detection of bad actors. We do not provide background checks. You keep ownership of content you submit. Submit only content you own or are entitled to share. You give Michigan Over Fifty a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, display, distribute within the service and moderate that content as needed to operate the magazine/community.

Public magazine contributions may remain part of the editorial archive; discuss changes or removal with us. Do not copy or commercially reuse other people’s material without permission or an applicable legal exception. Stories and community discussions are informational, not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. Send story corrections through Contact Rock.

Profiles, approved-member browsing, messaging, blocking/reporting, safety tools and community conversation remain free. Optional Supporter memberships, decorative digital gifts, some events and sponsorships help support the service. Paying does not bypass approval or buy another member’s attention or access to private information.

Supporter extras include a badge, permitted accent colors and 10 total profile photos including the main photo, compared with 4 for standard members. Founder/Admin access is complimentary. Saved searches are not currently implemented. Gift credits are decorative, not cash or redeemable prizes, and do not involve wagering.

Check the offer and hosted checkout for the price, currency, frequency and what is included before paying. Recurring plans renew until cancelled. One-time offers are not subscriptions. Stripe processes payments; do not send card details through messages or the contact inbox.

Members can manage recurring Supporter billing through Support us / billing after signing in. Sponsorship billing may be managed through an available billing portal; if you cannot access a portal, contact Rock about sponsorship cancellation. Cancelling future renewal does not itself promise a refund for a past payment.

For a billing problem or refund request, contact us with the relevant offer and limited transaction details, not a full card number. Requests are considered according to the offer, circumstances and applicable law.

Paid sponsorships and business spotlights are disclosed. Local community relationships may be non-cash and are labelled accordingly. Sponsors cannot select, approve, change or control independent editorial coverage. Sponsorship does not guarantee traffic, customers or sales and does not provide access to members’ private data.

Sponsorship is not presented as a charitable donation. We make no assurance about your tax treatment; seek your own advice. Any placement details are those shown in the actual sponsorship offer, not an implied promise of additional services.

See our Privacy Policy for data handling, providers, private verification and retention. Request account help or deletion through the private website inbox, with or without a login. Identity confirmation is handled manually before sensitive account changes. A request does not instantly erase all financial records, audits, published content or provider backups.

We may maintain, change or discontinue parts of the service, or restrict accounts for safety and conduct reasons. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes affecting paid services and address relevant remaining obligations. Availability can be interrupted; we do not promise error-free or uninterrupted service.

Updated terms will be dated and material changes communicated appropriately. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived. Contact us to discuss a concern or moderation decision.
